Our story

How we got here

Joe's version

Caroline and Joe met at Lafayette College during the fall semester of their freshman year, where they shared the same math class. After a series of shared engineering classes and missed social connections, Joe finally got the nerve to start up a friendly conversation with Caroline outside the Lafayette engineering building during their senior year. Their relationship grew quickly, spurred on by isolating together at college amid the initial uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic.
They moved into an apartment together in Jersey City, NJ, where they continued to grow their partnership. In December 2025, Joe proposed to Caroline at the NY Botanical Gardens!
Looking ahead, we're so excited for our loved ones to join us in our commitment of love and support to each other!

Caroline's version

The tale of Joe and Caroline is one of the classics. Guy sees girl, thinks she's cute, never approaches nor says hi. Girl doesn't notice guy at first, until she does. She says hi, guy says hi back. Years go by, they see each other again. But like two passing ships, they say hello, and continue on with their lives. Guy sees girl, girl sees guy, guy finally says hi first, girl says hi back, but this time conversation begins.

Guy then invites girl to party, girl accepts. Guy and girl go on date together. Guy and girl have so much fun on said date, they close out the restaurant. Very quickly guy and girl realize this is something special. One thing leads to another, and they are dating. Then they date some more. Then they move in together. Then guy proposes to, now, woman. Woman had no idea, very excited, very happy, says YES.

Planning your trip

Flying in

The most convenient airport is Newark Liberty International (EWR), about a 30–40 minute drive away, with plenty of flight options. New York's LaGuardia (LGA) and JFK are also possibilities, though they involve more traffic — plan for 60–90 minutes. Philadelphia International (PHL) is another option, about 1.5–2 hours away.

Driving in

Morristown sits right on I-287 and is easily reached via the Northeast's major highway network. I-287 connects directly to I-80 just to the north and I-78 to the south.

Are children invited?

To allow all wedding guests, including parents, a night of relaxation, we have chosen to make our wedding day an adults-only occasion. We hope this advance notice allows you to secure childcare!
